Best Sommelier of Finland 2024

Kilpailun voittaja edustaa Suomea Euroopan mestaruuskilpailussa Belgradissa Serbiassa ja
kaksi parasta edustaa Suomea Best Sommelier of Nordics -kilpailussa Norjassa. Ja alle 29-vuotiaista kilpailijoista parhaiten suoriutunut edustaa Suomea Nuorten Sommelierien MM-kisoissa Portugalissa lokakuussa.

Tämän vuoden kilpailu on ystävyyskilpailu Viron sommelier-yhdistyksen kanssa.
Viron sommelier-yhdistyksen puheenjohtaja ja Star Wine List-tuomari Kristjan Markii toimii kilpailun päätuomarina.
Kristjan tuo myös mukanaan Viron Mikk Parren kilpailemaan näytösluontoisesti Suomen osallistujien kanssa.

Sunnuntaina semifinaali käydään suljettujen ovien takana Ravintola Murussa klo 11:00 alkaen.
Osallistujille on tiedossa mielenkiintoinen päivä opettavaisten ja kiperien kysymysten ja tehtävien parissa.
Iltapäivällä semifinaalin jälkeen järjestetään ammattilaisille avoin
Kristjan Markiin vetämä masterclass Viron tärkeimmistä juomista Ravintola Murun tiloissa.

15.4.2024 Maanantaina Best Sommelier of Finland 2024 -finaali käydään Glo Hotel Artissa Lönnrotinkadulla.
Finaalipäivän yhteydessä on miniviinimessut ja pullot aukeavat klo 12:00

Best Sommelier of Finland 2024 – competition takes place 14.-15.4.2024 in Helsinki.
The competition venue is GLO Hotel Art on Lönnrotinkatu 29.

The winner represents Finland in the Best Sommelier of Europe 2024 competition in Belgrad Serbia and the winner with the runner up represent Finland in the Best Sommelier of the Nordics competition in Norway. Also the best competitor under 29 years gets to represent Finland at the Young Sommelier’s Competition 2024 in October in Portugal.

The competition this year is a friendly competition together with Estonian Sommelier Association.
Kristjan Markii, the President of the Estonian Sommelier Association
and Star Wine List judge will be the head judge for the competition.
Kristjan will bring along an Estonian sommelier competitor to take place in the competition.

On Sunday the semifinal takes place behind closed doors in Restaurant Muru from 11:00 onwards. It will be an interesting and educational day for the competitors!
In the afternoon after the semifinal, Kristjan Markii will hold a masterclass about the best beverages in Estonia.
The masterclass is open for all professionals.

On 15.4.2024 Monday the finale takes place in Glo Hotel Art in Lönnrotinkatu.
There is a mini wine fair open for guests from 12:00 onwards

The finale of the Best Sommelier of Finland 2024 starts at 15:00 in Glo Hotel Art the Jugend hall.
The results of the Star Wine List of the Year Finland will be revealed at 17:30 after the finale.
Gala dinner is served at Glo Hotel Art Jugend hall.
Aperitif hour at 18:00
Dinner starting at 19:30.
